Hello everyone. What is recommended insecticide for insect esp. Grub control? Perferable a granular product. Does Lesco have such a product? Any info appreciated. Thanks again
it may cost more per 50# bag, but I believe (depend on app rates) allectus covers more sqft than merit. switched from merit to allectus last year and the price difference wasn't bad. I believe (don't quote me) but allectus is a little more leniant (sp?) with being watered in. Were the shelf life...don't remember the technical term...of merit is not very long and needs to be watered in relatively quickly. I remember I had to apply my apps of merit in previous years with weather so it could get watered in...sometimes very difficult in the begining of summer for my area.Grub control use Merit w/fert. Allectus is a great priduct. Controls grubs, chinch bugs, sod web worm, ticks, fleas, etc. Costs more than just Merit, but is well worth it. Lesco makes sells it. (although thy are John Deere Landscapes now, got bought out)
We used Allectus last year for the first time. Put it down in May around here and it prevents and controls billbugs (our most prolific insect in the area), white grubs, chinch bugs and many others. Got it from Van Diest Fertilizer and Chemical. Checked at my Lesco and they have it as well, cost a little more than my other supplier. They both sell one without fertilizer called Allectus G. We sold it as a seperate beneficial service.Check out Allectus
Not bad, you will just end up with more N than I prefer to attain the proper AI.Hello all. The only product I am finding at my local Lesco is ALLECTUS 0.18% 18-0-9. I know I prefer without fertilizer, but I guess this is my only choice. As for Dylox that is available in a 30lb bag, but even the lesco rep said that is mainly used for Grubs and not so much for fleas/ticks. Is this ALLECTUS 0.18% 18-0-9 being .18% a bad product since the .224% is unavailable? Any info appreciated. Thanks
