They are more or less the same, although there have been some small changes over the years, I think many of which happened before it became the PT series anyways. New small round headlights, hinged/tilt rear hood, small changes to the quick attach, etc. I think functionally they are more or less the same.

At some point they are supposed to release a Terex PT-30 with a 101 inch lift height instead of the old 80 inch height. The arms have been beefed up and revised. I have not actually been able to get an answer from anyone on when this would actually be available however. Originally was told June, but havn't seen anything yet....

Thank's for the info. Any input of experirience on either 30 size model you can give would be great. I'm interested in anything concerning reliability and capability for a light piece of machinery like this. Or whatever else you might like to share.

There should be some stuff on here about the 30 if you search. I like ours, it's an 03 and have 1076 hours. I won't say it's perfect but I wouldn't be without it. Am still on the original tracks. We use it any where and for anything.

If you go with a 30 there are a few modifications we do to ours to get long life from the undercarriage.
1. Replace the front and rear wheels and axles on the undercarriage with RC50/60 mid axles and wheels these will take the side loads better than the rollers they use.
2. Screww the floating washer onto the rear if the wheels including the replaced 50 wheels.
3. Remove the jam nut form the adjuster and back the track adjuster off so you can run the track looser that from factory this saves wheel bearings and outboard bearings and drive motor shafts.
4. Wrap the drive moror hoses where they pass through the chassis to stop rubbing.
5. if using a 4 in 1 bucket fit a rear weight!
6. Fit torsion axle limiters they are availible from the delaer and will lengthen the like of the front axle.

After these you will not need to touch it till the 1000hr service when it is a good idea to repack the bearings, a good delaer should put more grease in the wheels at pre delivery as the grease is sometime light on in the wheel bearings.
