I searched and skimmed a few posts/threads and thought I would add in my 2cents.

I visited their location today, met the owner and viewed his products. While their I purchased a 44" dually with all the bells and whistles too that will be delivered to me here in the next few weeks.

I highly recommend the company. As I understand it, the owner is also the engineer and brain behind everything........as most owners are. The product is solid and folks are friendly.......what more do you want? Coffee? Well, I don't drink it but I'm sure they offer it if you want.

As far as I'm concerned, buying name brand on other mowers is buying just that, the name. You're paying for a Honda but getting a Lexus. How? Its simple, you're buying direct. This cuts out dealers/distributors that are adding their markups, as they should, to make money.

Thanks Gary, I'm sure we'll be doing business again.

All that and you haven't even taken delivery on your mower yet. My 36" is what I would consider OK but I feel they get plenty for their mowers. last year when I purchased mine the big promo was free extra blades platered across their site. Guess what, I didn't even get them. If they want to be competitive and really sell some mowers they need to step it up a notch. They would get my praise if they did away with the 3 blade deck on the 36, made floating decks, and make a stander already. Until then I wouldn't be buying another. They are very entry level and could stand to start some serious refinements.

Its a figure of speech. Lets play math with round numbers.

Quick 44"
$4,000

Exmark 48"
$5,000

Lets say that the $1,000 difference represents the quality or life differentiation between the mowers.

This makes the Quick 20% less life than the Exmark. By doing so, we can also say that the Quick represents 4yrs of service and the Exmark 5yrs.

Some companies change out mowers every two or three years. Lets go with two and just understand that the #'s will be a little less with three years obviously and over a business span of 10 years.

10 years / 2 year equipment exchange = 5 mowers.

5 mowers X $4,000 = $20,000
5 mowers X $5,000 = $25,000

One cuts as good as the other, they both have the same parts.

Honestly, $1,000 isn't much money and if you can't afford to lose it, you need to take a look at your business and see whats going wrong. I'm in business to make money but also take a LOT of pride in what I do. When I see product A is just as good as product B, there isn't much business reasoning behind spending more. At 20 yards per day or 100 yards per week, we'll get great service from these mowers. Additionally, I'd rather support someone who builds them in my country but is not the reason behind my purchase. I've been looking for an Exmark for 2 months, decided to check these guys out, didn't see reason to pay more and am happy with my decision. Just posting up for those who may be curious about their product and I'm expressing that I'm a satisfied customer.

I know two people who run their mowers. After hearing what they had to say and seeing the product myself, yes......I can say all this before the mower is sitting on my property. I felt that it stood up to what they had told me.

I'm not the guy that goes out mowing but have run mowers of all makes and models. I tested this one out and feels just as user friendly as an Exmark, for example. No, I don't need headlights on my mower but it is a solid machine. Yes, other mowers are built heavier/stronger but I feel that if you break this mower, you're being very abusive to your equipment, beyond a commercial usage expectation.

You haven't even used the mower yet, and you're giving us a review? Why don't you come back in 3 years and tell us all about it? I've owned a quick for a couple of years....Gary is a great guy, but the mowers aren't "up to par". The decks SUCK.

Yater, where did I speak of its cut performance and my use of the machine?

Here, this is as close as I got:

"I know two people who run their mowers. After hearing what they had to say and seeing the product myself, yes......I can say all this before the mower is sitting on my property. I felt that it stood up to what they had told me."

I'm stating, again, my perspective from viewing the product, viewing the facility in which they are made and the feedback I have received from two people who use them.

Say hi to Ken Herring for me if you bump into him.

I was going to start out with one and definetly would own one today but I came across my Gravely for a steal so I opted that route instead.... Wouldn't be opposed to trying it some day though.

i dont think it will be a bad machine, just not as tough AS PROVEN commercial brands. i know that it would be a great purchase for starting out and or for the company that does not need a walk behind for very many places, why not save money?

well here is a review for you. I normally dont post on this site mostly troll it but after Todd's post ( i am one of the one's he spoke with) and some jumping on him about not running one etc etc, thought i would chime in.

We demoed one machine starting in august 36" single and have since added 2 44" dually to replace our JD and Toro walkbehinds. As ALC says the cut is good very good in certain conditions, is it the end all be all of mowers, no absolutely not, but the problems I have with BOP decks I have had with other mowers as well.

As to holding up to abuse, trust me our employees abuse them to the point that we have been told by our Toro dealer that most of our machines look like the have 2 years of wear in one. On average the 36" single has run about 32 hrs per week since august, the 1st 44" Dually about 29 hrs per week since late Sept. Only maintenance done has been oil changes, greasing, and adjusting cables. that speaks for itself.

As far as holidng up as well as other "name" brands I have uet to see any issues as to the quality compared to the JD and Toros. As for service I get treated better by BOp, Gary and Tommy then by my dealer who i bought tens of thousands of dollars in equip from along with shop repairs, now we are treated worse then a residential because we have our own in house mechanic. So to me saving $2 grand a machine is worth it.

As for the person who didnt get his blades, did you call and let them know? They are a direct manufacturer but like all of us sometimes things get forgotten.

I think that picture should be on the quick website.

Sorry, but that deck looks like it would choke pretty bad under any type of thick mowing situations....It's So Small!
you know that was the first thing I thought and I'll tell you we really mulled that, our mechanic thought the same thing, but it doesn't anymore then any other walk behind. We cut some really high wet lawns our 1st week with the 36" we have and we waited to hear from our guys that the thing clogged up, didnt here a thing. We do clean our decks every day as to minimize clogging and we put fresh blades every night, which i think always helps and we do it with all mowers. On the 36 we think having that 16 hp engine cranking on 3 blades helps keep things moving under the deck, its really the only thing we can think of, the deck seems almost 1/3 the size of our JD/ Toro walkbehinds but cuts pretty darn good. We have also used it in both side discharge and mostly mulching so we have "seen" it on both applications.

Like i said i do not think the BOp is the end all be all for walk behinds but i hold them comparable, so far to the others we own. One nice thing we give them feed back and they geniunely care unlike other manufacturers we have had dealing with.

Today I went and checked my mail and to my surprise there was a box from BOP. Gary saw this post and sent them out. I did fail to contact them about it originally because when I took delivery on the mower I was using it right away so I didn't have time to mess it. Thanks Gary for backing it up. I would like to continue buying from you but if I ever got another 36" from you something would had to have changed about decks somewhat. I'm sure the 32cuts great but thats alittle small plus it would be great if you guys made a stander, it wouldn't take that much engineering to do.

So "your guys" should post up here after they use the quick in spring growth and dew. Post some video and disprove this nonsense we've been talking about.
