It is easier to bend a 2x6 verses 2x12..so wouldn't using 2x12's or 2x10's make it more rigid? maybe I missed something.

if the trailer frame is properly braced, you would be better off going with smaller boards like 2x4 or 2x6, but your trailer's frame does have to have enough cross supports to keep the narrower boards from bending. otherwise 2x8

For a truck deck or trailer you don't want to use anything wider than a 2x8 myself I will only go as wide as a 2x6. A boards strength when it stands vertical edge up not laying flat so a wide 2 inch board will split.
To get the strength you have to use tounge and groove truck decking it is expensive but it makes it stronger.

Go with the widest board for strength. When you put them down look at the ends. You want the grain of the wood with the arch up not down. And using tounge and grooved is not always the best choice. They tend to rot faster because of holding water. You cant beat #1 yellow pine with Thompsons water seal over salt treated.

Looks good. Done alot of horse trailers just like that except with #1 yellow pine and Thompsons and they lasted longer than the tounge and groove. They say the arch holds water and causes them to warp up. If not put in the way you did.

I think in Ontario your pressure treated is Pine ? Out here in B.C. pressure treated lumber is mostly Hemlock or fir but mostly Hemlock it becomes water logged during the treating process. When it dries out is when it really splits.
Keep the trailer out of direct sun you should be okay with 2x10s :laugh:
