Hi guys, who else has installed these timers and has come across this problem, the rain sensor symbol will not dissapear from the display resulting in the controller staying off. I've disconnected the rain sensor and looped the terminals and it still does not dissapear. Anyone?

Not here. But their central control option at the resi level is nice!

Have you unplugged and removed the battery?

I've never had a problem with them. That's the only clock that I install. I love those clocks.

...or just 'reset' the clock

hold down both of the 'select' or 'adjust' buttons; cant remember which it is. but just press the + and - at the same time. its how you by-pass the rain sensor. usually that will clear it out.

Ive ran across a few out there.

There are 2 reset posts near the right end of the terminal strip. Short across the 2 post with a screwdriver, pair of needle nose, etc. This will clear the rain sensor symbol (unless it is there for a reason).

Hey guys, thanks for the replies, yes I'm well aware of holding down the select + and - at the same time, but will only have the symbol flash. Touching the reset contacts with a flat head screwdriver does not work...

controller about 2-3 years old? They had some bad ones that did this. Warranty if they let you. I went through half dozed rain sensors till I figured out the problem.

Mike,

Did you have the batteries out when you tried the reset contacts? It worked for me about two weeks ago. Of course, it could be a different problem.
