From reading your other post, I agree with whats said in it, I would go demo the Hustler FasTrak, they stripe excellent stock with out a stripe kit, you can also get a stripe kit if you want them even more highly defined.

I went to the hustler dealer today. Unfortunately the fasttrack at $5600 is more than I want to spend.

I really want to stay under $4,000. They have a sport in stock, but its only 42" deck and Im pretty sure I want the 48" deck, but he said those were in high demand and hard to come by at the moment.

He also said I could remove the rear plastic wheels on the sport and run a bar with 2 nuts on the end and hang chain off the bar for a striper and it should work good.

thoughts?

We can find you a 48" Sport, they are in high demand, I am sure we can get you one though.
You could make that kit he mentioned for the Sport.
Both the Sport and the FasTrak stripe well without kits.

PJ, when you mention the striping kit, are you talking about the factory striping kit that Hustler puts out?

I'll check those items out. I think that I defiantly need to check the pitch and level, I'm getting stragglers and can see a line in the yard every deck width, and unlevel cut on turns. I only have 5hrs on my sd but so far am disappointed in the cut quality, stripping, and look of the yard after mowing compared to my JD 345. I'm hoping that a the fastrak can have a better or equal cut compare to a residential jd 345. Also will gator blades or the mulch kit be better for reducing the amount of clippings in tall grass?

Once your deck is correct you should be fine on all the items listed above.
Gator blades could help, I would run Fusions though.
