I too have a Personal Pace mower. Some are ranting that it cannot stand commercial duty, however, that is not what it is made for. This mower is made for homeowners, and it can stand up to a good bit of use, however it was not designed to stand up to being used 8 hours a day on commercial lots. Mine feels as if it is a little bit underpowered when compared to my Honda. My PP does leave a decent cut, but it does struggle a bit in thicker grass. For $1,000, I wouldn't have a problem buying it. If it isn't sufficient for commercial use, I can use it for my personal lawn.

so it should cut nice besides the under powered 8.75. There looks like there is going to be a few different ones so maybe a higher HP to come soon.
That's not 8.75 HP, it's 8.75 torque. That works out to around a 5.5, maybe 6 HP engine. This thing is seriously underpowered for any kind of commercial work, even occassional.

i cannot believe fools here are actually considering buying this pos. buy a used commercial wb instead
Keep in mind different area have different circumstances. As much as I would love to get rid of it I have to own a 21. If you have to pay an employee amount x per hour I would much rather pay them to mow 4,5 or 6 feet of grass instead of 21 inches. But its not practical in every situation. Best example 2 small patches of grass in the back yard around a swimming pool. Not at all practical for a 32. Anyway if a 30 is agile enough I would much rather have it than a 21 even if it has a service life of 2 years.

I love my personal pace toro, it got me started after my snapper died and I didn't have the money to replace it - under power yes, but it now serves as a nice little bush mower and will earn its keep tomorrow for a couple of hours when I take it into a recently cleared area to deal with some light briars leaves and other stuff I have on the ground in a little clearing project, it is perfect for maintaining a clear ground in the woods of semi cleared areas.
It may be underpower, but it has a 12 guage deck heavier and better than both the commercial ferris and snapper 21s'

what a pos! its the exmark metro 26 enlarged to 31 and now has personal pace!
And the Metro 26" was crap...still is. This mower is probably no different!
