Was wondering what you guys have used to spray fence lines and around a running track of schools? I used round up last year but it did not last very long. I would use Sahara dg but it is a soluble powder and I think I would have problems in my backpacks and 4 wheeler sprayer. Primatal worries me because of its leaching potential. Pbi Gordan had a product called vegemec was this a sterilant? It looks like it has been discontinued. Thanks guys.

I would not want to use any kind of sterilant on that type of site. Runoff from the track or fenceline will probably kill trees and lawns. If you do want one that is less risk than Pramitol 25 E, look into Arsenal Powerline. That is a clear liquid that requires no agitation once in solution. My rig for fencelines is a boomless nozzle controlled by my Teejet 834 rate controller and that is all powered by a standard Hypro D30. I can agitate and spray wettable powders or liquid suspensions. In your situation, I would use a high rate of Barricade + Gallery. That way, there is zero risk to surrounding trees and turf. Of course, this is mixable with RoundUp for existing weeds.

Thanks guys I have never tried roundup with a pre-emergent. Bug guy I have used shure guard in mulch beds and have thought about that as well. I did not want a sterilant because I do not want to risk contamination into the football field. About how much 65wdg would you mix in a backpack?
