Does anybody have any experience mixing Celsius WG and Image 70DG together to spray on centipede? I have plenty of broad leafs to kill with the Celsius and there is also some Kilinga and Nutsedge I was hoping to kill with the Image. I have sprayed them separately many many times although I have never mixed them together before. Trying to be safe.
Thanks

I've never used Dismiss before, looks like it will take care of most of the common weeds we have. Do you recommend the southern brand, I see it doesnt have quite a much Sulfentrazone as the other and also has a bit of Imazethapyr in it. Do you have any other info I might need to know before going and picking some? thanx for the info. I dont really like Image either, just got allot left over, also have quite a bit of sedgehammer left over. I want to try some dismiss tho..

Dismiss is a good tank mix partner for Celsius or Image. Both of those products are so slow. Most people are used to the quick burn down of MSMA and get fussy when told that the new herbicides might take up to a month to work. Dismiss and Quicksilver are great for speeding up the new products.

Blame the Terrorist for the slow acting herbicides! Works every time.

Not for me. Wish that worked. I am going behind people that burned holes with 2 oz per gallon of MSMA applied at the equivalent of 4 gallons per 1000 sq ft. I can either look like a rock star selectively killing weeds in a very green lawn in 7 days or less or look like a smart azz making people wait up to a month for weed control to work. It is like pushing a boulder uphill trying to elevate the standards of work here. The convention was to spot spray with something that would burn holes, but act fast. I want rapid results and safety to turf such that it can be sprayed broadcast.

So, I did buy a pint of Dismiss. Gave it to my main guy and he said he mixed 8oz with 50 gallons of water. Spraying at 2 gallons per 1000. It has been 2 days without much change in the weeds. Dollar weed, Dandelion, chickweed and yellow nutsedge Was it not mixed properly? I'm not great at these mixing calculations but my crew leader has always been pretty sharp and we haven't ever had any problems. So I have always kind of left it up to him. Not a good idea I know but that's another story. Anyway, I would appreciate some help from anyone good at these calculations. We are mixing in a 50 gallon tank. Thanx erbody.

Max rate is .275 per 1000. If spraying at 2 gal per 1000 all you need it 6.875 oz per 50 gallons of water. You should have seen results by now. Any mso added to mix?

No, didnt add anything to the mix. Just the Dismiss. He said he only sprayed to wet the foliage. Tried not to have much run off.

This afternoon the centipede is starting to look fried. Lord have mercy!!!! Anyone know if the centipede will completely die at the rate we used? 8oz in 45 gallons.
Ouch...Good thing you didn't add Image to the mix!

Water...water and more water.

I guess I need to go over to this ladies house and tell her to turn the water on. Rain is on the way...hope it helps.. This has never happened to me in 16 years. I guess I have just been blessed. I dont know. ha, this is a corner yard on the spine road that run through a development that we maintain. 60,000.00 job. I hope I dont get a bad name for one mistake after maintaining that development for 10 years but you know how that goes. They seem to forget all the good things you have done...:hammerhead: and kill you the mistake.

I will tell you that you should be ok..I've totally browned a Bermuda lawn with MSMA in July...no irrigation and the homeowner scalped it right after the application...it came back...crabgrass free! Grass is pretty tough stuff.

I sure do hope so, I guess time will tell. Thanx for giving me some hope.

Centipede is more than likely done for...with the calculations you gave us your tech over applied the dismiss. Best of luck, post some pics.

Stop being a bearer of bad news Wes! Pray for the man! It's centiweed, not fescue!
