I'm ripping out my back yard and found a 1.5" steel pipe that was capped off. I want to make sure it is not a gas line of any kind. I know there was an old system consisting of steel piping, but don't know why it would be capped off. Any way to know what it is? Thanks in advance!

Have you taken the cap off? Our elders did plan for expansion, is there any wire around, or could it be pre-valve stuff?
