Time for a new daily use blower. Either should get it done well enough. Anyone have experience or insight on both? Is the strato more fuel efficient?

Not really interested in 4-mix. The Dolmar 7601 4-cycle looks interesting. But limited dealer access and less parts availability is my top concern. Running straight gas and saving $100 sounds pretty good though. But really over the life if the tool, what's another $100?

Our Kawasaki blowers have been solid. But with them leaving the 2-cycle handheld market at the end of this year I'm thinking of switching. They have been flawless. Only parts needed for untold hours were from abuse. (Broke an air filter housing in a drop).

I've ran both and was heading to buy a 770 when I finally found a dealer that had a 570. It was right when they first came out and no one could keep them in stock around here. I went with the 570 with no hesitation. It is stronger and more comfortable.

Here's a link where you can see the difference in power of several top of the line blowers. the RM 7500 is the same exact machine as the 570-

While I love my Dolmar 4-stroke BP (very/more comfortable, smaller & lighter than my RM 8001), IFF you're looking for more power, then the Husky 570/580 or RedMax 7500/8500 are the only way to go, IMO. I'll be heading this same direction when my RM 8001 bites the dust.

Yes, a Dolmar BP is at least $100 cheaper, but it will run on regular 87 octane and requires no 2-stroke oil over its entire life. This will add up to further savings as well. But on paper, it does not match the above blowers powerwise/CFM/MPH. My 8001 moves more air...and it does not compare/compete with the 570/7500...let alone the 580/8500.

I have a Kawasaki BP Blower, the 750. Where can I get parts, and filters and such, since they are discontinuing them. I ordered mine from WiseSales.

I'd go with Redmax or Echo when it comes to blowers.

Husky makes some good stuff, but I don't believe that they can make so many different types of equipment with a level of quality that match up to their competitors. I've had a few things from Husky over the past few years, and in my experience things have been pretty hit or miss.

Good luck. The Kaw parts network has SUCKED for some time. Awesome bowers. Actually everyone loves their products (trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers) just can't get parts. Seems they also sell the blowers as Maruyama. Might have to find a Maruyama dealer to keep yours going.

The 570 and 580 Husqvarna IS a Redmax 7500, 8050. (The big ones). With a couple improvements (better harness).same engine and fan. Since Husqvarna bought Redmax some years ago, they haven't changed Redmax much. Just added a couple bells and whistles for Husky. I actually expect them to eventually kill off the Redmax line (pure speculation).

As I understand it, Maruyama backpack blowers are rebranded Kaws. I've also found the fuel line grommet from a Redmax will fit just fine. As will the kill switch.

after my last Echo 460LN that lasted well into the 10 year range, I bought the 770.
Hands down bigger beefier shoulder straps, easier to start and no time to wait for it to warm up and get any task done.

Been up on 2nd story decks and able to blow leaves- not only off the deck, but also down to the ground and away from the house. Lighter than redmax and quieter. With grass clippings I never run at WOT unless I'm on a three car pad. Even then I just walk up one side of the drive and blow everything all off the other side.
I run NON OXY
