I'd take the Cheetah, because all of them have engines rated under the old HP system, so they are less HP than they are selling them as. The 31 for example is the FX850 which is 27 HP under the new and accurate system they use now. The 34 on the Cheetah is the FX921 and is a true 31 HP now. Under normal conditions the FX850 is plenty for a 72" deck, but if you have hills or cut tall or thick grass, or a combo of both very often, the bigger the better. With a 72" deck, more HP is better to have and not need, then need and not have.

I would consider going new for that kind of money. They all are descent deals but none come with a warranty.
This is my fear, not having a warranty. However, a 30% reduced price is nice. Especially us people claim a few thousand hours of use out of pumps/engines. I am not totally ruling out new, just a thought on this deal.

There is a dealer on Ebay not far from you selling Scag Cheetahs for
$11,299 SCZ72V-921FX 72" DECK KAWASAKI out the door
Where did you find this on eBay? Incant seem to find it. Also, this is OTD or before tax?

That says he's in Hilliard Ohio. That's a couple hundred miles from Almont where the OP is. I've been to both places. Where did you see he was close to the OP?

That dealer also has this one, and it is a better deal yet-

Well I saw he was in MI & that place is in northern OH.. I mean close enough.. What's a couple hundred miles if you can save quit a bit of money? He's got a 2013 72 that's even better as well. The guy has got great deals...

Not that it makes that much difference, but Hilliard is in central Ohio just on the north western end of Columbus. Long way to go to find out it isn't what it appeared to be in the ad. I know the ad says you don't own it if it isn't what you wanted, but they don't reimburse you for gas.

He does have some good deals it appears. But, there are some good ones right here in our state/his area if the OP has the time to just look around a little.

Well for me on that it would be, was it a dealer lot demo or a take out demo.. there's guys that will give ride the Heck out of them if no ones around..

Totally agree. I know the loaner demo's around here look worse than machines that have been on a guys trailer for a several years. The dealership demo's are a good deal though (if you can get lucky enough to land one of them instead the dealer selling it o his buddy).

This is the company I was looking at. As far as distance, I don't mind driving to Ohio. I have been looking at mowers for months but have something in particular in mind. Ok, at first it was the exmark lazer z s series with suspension seat or scag cheetah and both with 72" deck. Thie happened to be the best price I have located in regards to the cheetah. My buddy has a hustler and I wanted your guys opinion as they are located at the same place and are comparable.

When It was originally stated they were for sale "near me", I was thinking Oxford, Mi where there is a dealer or even somewhere else closer.

Also, would an exmark lazer z suspension seat fit the platform of a cheetah?

It was just a suggestion. . If I'm buying & I can save a couple grand guess what I'm gonna spend 200 in gas to save 2k or more... His Scag are brand new... still worth it imo to see the Deere as well....

I asked my dealer in Oxford. He told me no one has asked this before and he wasn't sure but didn't believe it would fit. I think it was on the turf tiger he had there. I would have to look at my photos (intake pictures everything as it helps my memory).
