Have you checked the fuel tank vent? If its not venting it will act as you mentioned. Problem is, you take the cap off, check filter, hoses etc., starts right up, but then slowly creates a vacuum in da tank, and on and on...
Did you check/clean the exh. port in the cyl.?
A clogged port is usually the culprit, not the muffler. It has a very hot burning catalyst honeycomb in it.
Could be a coil takin' a dump.

I've worked on about 50 older model (7001, 8001) RedMax blowers and never had a bad coil. Just last week I took in four EBZ7500's and two of them had bad coils. One of them runs for about 10 minutes, then just cuts out instantly as if someone hit the stop switch. Unfortunately, the coil is $80. I really hope this isn't a sign that RedMax is going downhill now that they are relabeled Huskies.
I'd do as Fish says and rule out the tank vent first. When it bogs down, remove the cap. If it stays running, that's your problem. If it will not start again until the engine cools down, then it's likely the coil. If it is like the EBZ7500, you have to remove the recoil assembly to access the coil. If you have to install a new one, gap it with a business card. Many videos on Youtube showing how.

You can check the coil strength with a simple test.
watch this 6 minute video. How to do check strength of the coil. This video is from REDMAX advanced diagnosis school. It is the definitive and proper test for coils.

I am having the same issue on my Kawasaki KHDS600A hedge trimmer with a Walbro WYA carb. Has spark. (used a tester) Rebuilt the carb with the same issue. Going to do a whole new carb. Might be worth checking into the ignition system if the carb does not fix it though though, although I have never seen an ignition coil cause this type of issue.. Was running perfectly for 10 minutes like the OPs Redmax blower. Also checked the muffler port and tried running without the gas cap. Will report back with my results.

Had this issue on a a blue Shindaiwa T231X trimmer also, and it was a the carb. One would not start at al either, and it was a loose engine.

Try taking off the gas cal when it starts to do that. Doesn't sound like carb issue. I'd check out the coil as well to see if it's causing problems

Did that. And has spark. Have a tester. And last machine that did this was same issue. Could be coil. Will find out soon.

If an ignition coil is going bad, it will have problems when it heats up. Then it will work well once the engine cools down. That's why people on this thread are pointing to coil problems rather than carb problems. If you have a carb problem, it is there to stay, even after the engine cools. Given that the symptoms appear after 10 minutes of use, and then disappear after waiting and restarting, it points to a vacuum in the fuel system or a coil issue. It's easy enough to rule out a fuel delivery problem by running it with the cap off. Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank to completely cover the fuel filter, even with the gas sloshing around. Also check that there are no kinks in the two fuel lines. If removing the fuel cap doesn't solve the problem, then try swapping the coil with a known good one.

Found a decent amount of light scoring I can feel with my fingernail on the machine when I tore it down Thursday, and you can move the rings around like nothing, and I believe that is my issue. Just going to buy a new machine, and fix this one over the winter when I have time. Not sure what caused it. Since buying it new in July 2014, l ways run 50:1 with either RedMax or Lesco(same ratings as others) oil, 89 octane gas, and winterized it last season.

Still think it could be the coil? Has spark according to my inline tester, and will idle OK. When one my other machines needs a coil, it will not start at all usually.

Will look, but I think the RedMax has a different carb. I have a Wabro WAY, and the EBZ7000 has a WYK.

What they are trying to tell you is that when a coil starts to go, it will often work when the machine is cool, but will begin crapping out as the machine gets hot. Testing with a spark tester on a cool machine will show spark. You need to keep the spark tester with you and test for spark when the machine gets hot and starts missing or refuses to keep running.

I have the exact same blower you have. Did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? Cause I'm having the same problem.
