Anybody have one or used one of these mowers? Im looking to buy a walk behind I would use it for about 7-8 yards a week so probably around 6 hours a week would be put on it. Its Hydro with a 14.5hp Briggs engine and 34" deck. I know there are better commercial options out there but I can get this for around $900-$1000.

I have a 2013 Gravley 34 inch. I bought it because I figured it would be great for gated properties..... Only had problems with the mower, it is heavy, the handles suck..... the belt always kept coming off. Every time I used it the belt came off! Overall it really isnt a good mower or at least the one I have. I now use it as a backup. Maybe the newer models fixed all the problems. I paid 600 used for mine.... cheap for a reason.

Thanks for the reply Kman. I cant seem to find a whole lot of reviews other then its a pretty heavy mower. Is yours belt driven or hydro?

I had the 2013 Ariens version. I owned it for about a year and a half until my neighbors started asking me to mow their lawns. It was a belt drive and was really helping me build my shoulder muscles! My yards are large, almost ½ acres but the front yards are small. It worked great for those. The cut was good and it made great stripes with a Big League striping kit on it.

My dealer warned me to keep grass from building up under the belt cover, so I blew it out through the gaps under the cover after every mow. I never had a problem. I removed the cover once just to make sure, and there wasn’t any grass in there at all. I had no problems with it in the short time I owned it.

I traded it in for a 48” Grandstand but I kind of wish I still had that mower for my smaller front yards.

I paid the same amount that you are looking at. If I mine had hydros and I knew what I know now, I might not have traded it, but I still needed the larger mower.

I cut the lawn in my avatar with it.
