My local dealer has a demo model. I checked it out earlier. I don't question the performance. However, I noticed that plastic parts look like they are made up of questionable quality. I am not sure how well it will hold up to daily, commercial use.

Don't see why it wouldn't hold up Maruyama are a reputable manufacture of commercial equipment, personally I can't see them making something that won't last

Compared to the big three, Stihl, Redmax/Husqvarna, and Echo, the plastic parts are noticeably of lesser quality.
That's really hard to say for sure without knowing the composition of the plastic and other parts.
Now, I can understand you feeling they are lesser quality based on their looks etc. Like said, Maruyama has a good rep, and for a good reason, so I should think their BP's would be the same way.

Which Plastic Pieces on the 9000 are you talking about?

The Housing...Fan Encasement?

Blowers get Dropped Allot...a Cheap Housing would be a Deal Killer.

If you get a chance can you Post up a few Close Up Pics of the Housing, Elbow and Fan Encasement etc of Blowers?

Assuming 9000 will share Similar Materials and planning on Ordering 2 Sight Unseen in Late March,

I love how in these factory videos, the depicted operators are clueless on how to actually use the equipment.
Are you talking about the video in posted in this thread? If so, he has been a member since March 2012, if that means anything?

Since I don't use a blower to move large amount of leaves very far, on my leaf jobs; (because I usually just try to get them out in the open where I can chop and vac them up with my mowers), is the person in the video not using the blower in a normal manner for moving leaves like that? just wondering, I have no idea, really?

Maybe he is just moving them around to try to demonstrate the power of the blower? IDK.

How would most of you guys have tested and demonstrated this (or any) blower? Not defending or criticizing the video, just wondering?

You're probably right, he is just moving leaves around for demonstration purposes. I would think a realistic demo would be to move a large pile/line/or grouping of leaves to a gathering spot, leaving clean grass behind you. I didn't know this guy was a member. Most any blower will look impressive blowing a small layer of leaves in a random fashion, but moving the big piles cleanly and effectively is the true test of a powerful blower. I'm just blowin' and goin' I guess.

I see your point. It looked like there was a pretty good layer of leaves...but dry leaves it looked like. To me, It looked like he was just moving them from where they had fallen to the ground.

Do you think your dealer will get a BL 9000 for you to check out, if interested?
