I have a lesco push spreader, and found some pictures online of an add on sprayer system? Synergy volt? Anyone have one? Thinking would work good for me until I build the client base to afford a z spray or peragreen unit.

I've seen them, sold a couple when I worked for Lesco/JDL. The problem is getting them set up. Requires a lot of patience to get the little drive wheel set juuuuuuust right. Were described to me as a "major pain in the a$$".

I suggest a good backpack sprayer. Nice, and easy for spot spraying. Cost is reasonable.
When the need arises for blanket spraying--move the wand back and forth about like spray painting--cover every inch--do not walk too fast. Swath about 6 feet.
When you get a bit bigger--it will be useful for spot-spraying of special products for: crabgrass, nutsedge, insects, hardy weed escapes.
Difficult to clean completely. Use separate sprayer for Roundup.

Electric and gas power backpacks are available.

If you want to push spread and spray at the same time--not sure if its possible.

Anybody had success?

Just an idea. Push the spreader with your right hand, pump with your left--however--where to put the spray wand? Bolt it to your hard hat?
Anyone seen any method to pump and use the spray wand both in the left hand? A chest spreader and back pack--I am just not that coordinated.
With an electric model--you don't need three hands. Potentially you could put a couple nozzles on your push spreader.
Someone here MUST have tried it. We are inventive.

Pick up a Permagreen spay kit for the lesco spreader.
Here is the info.

BTW get a Breakthru Agiator kit also, once you use one in the spreader you will never want to see a stock Z Agiator again.

A 3 gal hand sprayer can get heavy, 20 to 25 pounds maybe; I would not blame anyone who wanted to put a pump-up hand sprayer in the hopper and use the hose after stopping--or even without stopping--for spot spraying.

And...its only a slight step-up in logic if someone went to a battery powered backpack carried on or in the hopper of a spreader.

Come on guys--someone just HAS to have done it.

I ordered the Latest Permagreen battery operated Synergy unit, just came today. I picked up an act with many small areas and only way to acess is with a push Spreader and I have a few other of acts that can only be done with a push Spreader and a few nose bleed slope areas. I can not stand having to go back over the same areas I already walked twice.

I will give an update on if it is easy to install, time it took to install and how it works.
Came all nicely bubbled wrapped wich I removed for the pict.

BTW, I hooked a up a spray wand for one of my Triumps and I can add already mixed herbicides to the synergy tank quick. I barley use it but it comes in very handy if I have to transfer liquids out of the tanks or drain them from one Triump to another. I remove the wand and if transfers liquids fast.
I think the synergy unit is 1/4 gal / 1,000 sqft like the Triumphs. I will read to see and give exact ,#.

I Installed the synergy Permagreen rechargeable spray unit yesterday on one of my newer Lesco Spreaders. Was easy to do.
I tried it out with just Water and it Sprays great with the low drift nozzle. Has a spray wand gun with nozzle also.

Pict of it and it hooked up to the charger.

Having fun playing around with this Permagreen Sprayer with water only in it and few test.
Leak test passed , no leaks when Spreader is laid down.

I would highly recommend putting a Breakthru Agiator in the Lesco hopper if anyone is going to purchase this add on Sprayer. I know for sure you can leave Materials in the hopper over night and don't have to Empty Daily like when the stock Z shaped agitatior is in the hopper. I can see emptying the hopper if the tank is full may be a little difficult/awkward for some.

Also by chance if a little water is accidentally splashed in the hopper when filling the tank the Breakthru Agiator should handle damp/Little wet material with no problem not like the stock Z in lesco push Spreaders.
The top of the tank does have a channel in cap area so liquid will not run into the hopper.

I have plans in winter Also to use this Sprayer with liquid ice melts for areas by entrance ways and use the hand Sprayer for stairs along with other granular ice melts for other areas.
It should work great since I already know Granular ice melt products flow perfectly in the Lesco push Spreader with the Breakthru Agiator in the Hopper but not the case with the stock Z.
