Was all set to buy another ztrak and thought I should probably expand my options a bit. I cut a handful of properties between 2-5 acres and they are all bumpy and really wanted something that would ride a bit better. I narrowed my choices to a 930m with tweels, Toro 3000 with my ride, Exmark Lazer E with my ride and Scag Cheetah. After going to a suspension platform I was sold. Best deal out of all was the Lazer E my ride that also came with the kawi 801v. For some reason I didn't care much for the Toro and cant really pin point why. The Cheetah was a nice machine but didn't like the sticks and how I felt in the machine, almost felt too small. Pretty sure I'm going with the Lazer.

My dealer told me not too long ago that Exmark and Toro have dropped the My Ride models due to lawsuits over patent infringements of the Scag Cheetah. Those still for sale are NOS. That aside, the Lazer E is a lower grade unit than the JD or Scags you have or had. The deck will not come close to doing what the JD or Scag will when the grass is long and/or wet. Personally I didn't care for the my ride feature. I found it too rolly polly feeling. I'd take the Cheetah over any Lazer, and day.

My dealer yanked all theirs off the floor as soon as the suit was upgeld by the judge. He said they have no plans to carry them in the future even if Exmark/Toro wins the case as they didn't sell worth a crap. This is a large Exmark dealer too.

I test drove a lazer last fall, very unimpressed. I have very very large hills I mow, many acres of hills. Just did not feel stable on them. And a bit of clumping on thick grass.
Went with another Gravely Pro Turn.
Lower center of gravity, plus you sit lower so can duck branches easier.

I don't think the laser E series I had was any less of a unit. It had the same size pumps as the S series and had the 801v kawi which they are not offering anymore in the E series for 2017. The only difference I can find between the E that I tested and an S is a bigger gas tank in the S.

But both are less than the JD 900, Scag Cheetah or TT or for that matter, the Exmark Lazer X, which is in the same class as the other brands mentioned here.

Yeah thats what I thought, no way I would pay that. Called 2 other dealers and they want 11-11.5k for them with the kawi 730v. Might go look at the Cheetah one more time before I decide but I definitely want a suspension platform of some sort. I thought it was gimmicky at first till I ran it side by side my ztrak that has suspension seat on a bumpy 2 acre property.

Regarding the ztrak with tweels, I didn't notice a lick of difference in comfort, sort of disappointed in them and would stick with the standard tires. I've already added suspenion seats to the standard seat on my past z traks which was an improvement but JD is still light years behind on the seat compared to everyone else. I honestly believe they would sell more units with a better seat

I've been saying that for a long time now.But- as long as they are still selling them, they won't add any features they don't have to.....buncha cheap bastages.

I didn't get the impression tweel was supposed to improve ride, it's just a run flat tire that's designed to simulate having air

That's just because it is an Exmark. Here, they are sky friggin high compared to all other brands.
Here too...they are MUCH higher than Scags and JD comparable mowers. The Grasshoppers are more expensive than the aforementioned and just below the Exmarks.

Most of the LCO'S in my area are switching to JD and Dixie Chopper. I am seeing more and more bad boy's as well
