I am using tenacity to kill bentgrass. Used the recommended dosage of one teaspoons per two gallons. Broadcast sprayed entire lawn with appropriate amount. 2 gallons per 2,000sq ft. Also used 3 teaspoons of dawn dish detergent per two gallons as recommended by the manufacturer.

This is day 8 and I see no whitening and no change in the weeds.

Weather has been 70s during the day. 50-60 at night. With the exception of a couple hot humid days.

Any reason why I haven't seen anything yet? I called up the tenacity manufacturer and they said it could be because I broadcast it I didn't soak enough on it. My only issue with that is that when I broadcasted it I did concentrate a little more on the areas that visibly had bentgrass.

It takes time, probably 10-14 days then it comes on. Then its time for another road.
Oddly enough the weeds have slightly started to whiten since I wrote this post.

So have you used this for bentgrass? The manufacturer says I should reseed during the second application and then wait two mowings on the new seed before applying third application. Does that sound about right?

I will be trying this as well. 3 teaspoons might be a bit aggressive with the dish soap. When is the last time you fertilized? Urea based fertilizer seems to boost the efficiency of Tenacity based on a couple of trials that I have read.

Also, post a picture of what you think is bentgrass.

I spoke a lot with the manufacturer of tenacity. They were the ones who recommended 3 teaspoons. It took about 10 days to see results. I'm on my second application. Bentgrass is zapped. Much easier to use when I figured out the correct dosage of the blue dye.
