Can anyone help me with a 2011 z930a jd governor adjustment? I had to remove the governor piece from the shaft to remove the seal gasket as it was leaking oil(but I just loosened the bolt around the shaft to remove the bar to get to the seal and not the one in the middle that they say not to loosen). When I put it back on it seems to bend the bar with the spring on it (I haven’t ran it yet so I don’t know if it runs ok) so I just wanted to see if the adjustments are ok. If anyone has the service manual that tells you how to adjust the 2 pieces that would be great help. Thanks

I did read that before I posted and I thought I posted enough info but I guess I didn’t. I thought all z930a John Deere mowers had the same engine. I believe it’s a 29hp Kawasaki engine vtwin. I’m just lookin for the small section in the service manual for z930a mowers that can adjust the governor bars. I don’t really feel like spending $80+ for one little section in a book.

Sorry. Been really busy (fall season). I hooked the governor back up. The engine seems to rev up and down when on high idle but when the blades are on it seems fine. It also died when I had it on low idle. I don’t know if that has anything to do with the governor or not
