TP, I hate to tell you, but you are 100% wrong on the battery. Dealer battery is $2,500. They last 5-7 years. Now days batteries are being rebuild all day for less than $1,000 with a 1-3 year warranty. My prius has a brand new battery installed with dealer receipt and warranty, put in weeks before I bought it.

As far as calories, 5,000 calories is easy if you know what your doing. I actually went to school for physical training and to be a dietician. Go buy one tube of peanuts from the dollar store and finish it off with a 36 oz yetti full of milk and your over 3,000 calories my friend.
youre replacing the new battery yourself are you? disposing of the old one?
All that tech time is free?
battery will last 5 years with NORMAL commuter use, NOT commercial use and/or towing.
I listened to prius for hours from a guy who owns half a dozen.

according to the above you would have to eat 550 peanuts and drink all that milk (5 glasses) for 3,000 calories.

and according to you this is a "healthy" diet?

there's about 1200 calories in a steak the same volume of the peanuts you are trying to say you buy at the dollar store.

I'm concerned with the legality of hauling gas cans in the passengers compartment. Definitely not safe
Or gas powered equipment, not like the stuff is in the trunk, that would be a different story. I think this is absolutely ridiculous and nothing short of a low ball hack operation that cuts/scalps granny's yard on Saturdays for beer money. At least get a small $400 tractor supply trailer and have u-haul install a hitch. Not to mention using a Prius with GAS powered equipment is kind of an oxymoron. Go all the way green and invest in electric. Then label yourself a "green" company

True story
When I first started my dad was sold on the electric battery thing (this was way back in the 80s)
So my first run at it I had this lawn mower with an extension cord
Picture mowing the lawn like you do vacuuming the living room, you have the cord kinda sling over one shoulder and when you go the other way you gotta flip it to the other side and shoulder?
Ya that
I had little wonder plug in hedge trimmers too
The good stuff (the elec trak tractors) weren't actually that bad, except they ran on 6-8 marine batteries..

We (my dad and I) had a falling out when I bought the ransomed bobcat and a wheeled leaf blower (he was convinced I would blow away all the topsoil with the leaf blower)

When I came home from the army, I caught my dad using the leaf blower - red handed!

Yeah 5,000 healthy calories is what I was thinking about. I eat about 2300 calories on a low carb diet while working out 3-4 x per week. I have a home gym as well.

P90x is crazy. I've tried them all. Forget it, it's not practical unless your an athlete.
A car that smells like dead grass and the milk farts for days. I think I'll pass.

No more gym, you can save your membership cost and retire at 30!!!!! You can put little generators on each wheel and keep your batteries charged, never use electricity again!!!

Or put a hitch on the Prius and pull one of his small trailers loaded with solar panels. Run all electric and charge between lawns.

Clean portable power station lawn care. ---- Bet no one has that name registered.

this! this would solve all your problems. get an echo 58v battery powered pushmower, trimmer, and blower. get lots of batteries. that gets rid of the fuel/oil spills or smells inside the car. still need a mat though, which you already have, to keep the dirt and stuff off the floor.

i have a 1/4 acre yard and i use all the echo stuff at my own house. the yards you are doing are smaller than that so it would work just fine. you'll go through a battery and a half on every yard. echo has 2 year commercial warranty and 5 year residential warranty on their battery stuff. you'll spend about $1000 to get everything you need including having extra batteries and chargers.
