I was thinking of upgrading my gravely xl for a commercial mower. I cut on the side and now have 12 accounts and think I can justify a new mower. I have looked and test drove some units and I keep going back to the Hustler X-one 60" with the 850 Kawasaki. It seems to me this mower is the best value with the bigger motor for the $8000 price range. Plus it has the parker hyd pumps. I have drove the Exmark Radius-x but it just doesn't seem as smooth as the Hustler.
What do all of the experts think of this mower? Not many commercial folks use them around here because no one sold them until just recently.
If this is not a good decision let me know, but let me know what you would buy for $8000.
Thanks

Looks like a well built mower. I would look into other brands as well such as these, gravely, scag, bobcat.:)

iv'e seen them and looked at them and i know some people that aren't to happy with their purchase with them but.. everyone has there opinions, some like yellow some like red and etc, some like kawi some like kohler.
it really depends on what works best for you and what you like compared to each model/brand you look into. if you have more pros on one than the other than that's probably the one for you. the reason i choose gravely was because of there units quality, cut quality and smooth transmissions, i wanted something that would last me a long time to come no matter how hard i use it:laugh:

Did you pull the trigger on the x-one? I have a 60" toro 3000 sold and eyeing up this mower to replace it. I really like how their isn't a bunch of sruff protruding under the deck, like nuts and bolts etc... Seems like my Toro has allot going on under the deck that catches grass... I am demoing a hustler with 850kaw this coming fri. Anxious to see if I jive with the mower.

I bought the xone with the 850 engine three weeks ago, the mower has only seven hrs on it now. This mower is a one pass machine on grass and weeds at the farm that hasn’t been cut in three weeks which is a tough mow. I had a hustler mower for 12 hrs prior to the xone, love the smoothness of a hustler, no regrets here.

Thanks for the feedback man! Whats your thoughts on the flex forks? No brainer?

I have a 2006 Hustler Super Z, 66, Kohler 31 EFI with flex forks and just bought a Big Dog Diablo MP, 72, Kawasaki 35 with flex forks. I mow commercial orchards; flex forks work well. By the way, I have 4000 hours on my 2006, a few normal repairs over the years, its been a great machine. I hold Excel, maker of Hustler and Big Dog, in high regard. Your dealer is also an important decision.

Thats a crazy amount of hours on a machine! I am demoing an x-one this friday and anxious to do so! I am a simple meat an potatoes guy when it comes to equipment. I like the idea of the flex forks accompanied with suspension seat!

Demo’d the x-one past 2 days with 27hp kaw. Not impressed. I will be sticking with toro zmaster i guess. I don’t care for the way it disperses the clippings. It kicks them at an angle to the Rt rear tire. I have some large accounts that I use mower to blow off street an some of driveways. This mower simply will not work for that unless driving backwards. Ain’t nobody got time for that lol
Power was good. Drive alignment came out of adjustment halfway through the day yesterday which slowed me down.
Just my 2cents if anyone was curious.
Going to demo toro 3000 with myride suspension next wk.
have a good day fellas
