Not sure what 4 way is. We use Atrazine, Trimec Southern, Dismiss NXT, Roundup Quikpro here in Texas. We have St Aug and Bermuda.

In Illinois stay with a three-way like Trimec.
If you need something for crabgrass, Drive is the best bet. (quinclorac.) Mix with MSO as a surfactant.
This costs less--because you only apply the Drive on the crabgrass where it is needed. No need to blanket spray lawns that have no crabgrass. No need to add MSO to your Trimec solution. In hot weather, Trimec plus MSO could add more risk to injure your grass.

Maybe they were talking about Q-4. For weeds and crabgrass.

Odd--but when used alone Drive, (quinclorac) says to include MSO as a surfactant--however I do not see MSO as an ingredient in Q-4. How cum?

Triclopyr is a better option for clover. Be sure it is clover; oxalis and black medic are similar.
Triclopyr is contained in Ortho's Chickweed, Clover, Oxalis Killer.
Triclopyr is also available at a dealer or online as Turflon-D.

No, never heard of a 4-D or 4-way. You mean 2-4D.

2-4D is the primary ingredient in 3-way herbicides. Right now its about to be too hot to spray it.

When its too hot, you switch to Celsius.
DO NOT USE CELSIUS ON A COOL SEASON GRASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will kill it and it's not labeled for use on ANY cool season grass. Repeat don't use Celsius as an alternative to 3-way in hot temps.

I've used a few 4-way products. Basically 2-4d mixed with sulfrantrazone, triclipyr and quinaclorac. Q4. They work great just no in my price range where I can still make money.
