I'm currently using Echo Black Diamond .095 in my Echo SRM 2620T. Here in N.C. overgrown Bahia Grass on ditch banks is like trying to cut wire. The Black Diamond is OK, but if some other line would cut better I'd like to give it a try.

I know there are numerous threads about everyones favorite trimmer line. I'm interested in what will cut best in heavy dense grass and weeds.

I use the same thing just switched this season and it is awesome. Have you thought about moving up to .105?
Yes I have considered .105, Does .105 really make a significant difference? Also would using .105 decrease power or lug the trimmer.

Am I wrong to assume that the 2620T is most efficient with the Echo factory equipped .095?

Read this regarding ( What Size Trimmer Line Should I Use?)

As the thickness of the line jumps up, more wind resistance affects the cutting head, slowing down the speed at which the engine can rotate the cutting head. it’s best to refer to the manufacturer’s recommendation for string size.

I deal with over grown bahia all the time. you need a high quality SQUARE shaped line . will cut betterfaster and hold up better . black diamond is not strong enough for this . black diamond excelly at daily trimming not for extreme conditions.oregon magnum gator line is what I recommend
