I believe this will be the future of our industry. As prices come down, and landscapers come to understand the advantages of going electric, sales will soar. What say you?

Hopefully they'll have adequate power to turn a high-lift blade...as that is what's mostly responsible for QOC - a trademark of a good mower/operator.

My mom's neighbor (3/4 acre) has an electric riding mower...and he's always having to finish the back w/ his push mower since his battery runs down before he's done.

It will be quite a while before I drink this Kool-Aid. Currently I think it come down to the cost of LI-Ion verses the weight of lead acid batteries. My big concern for something using Li-ion tool batteries is it going to be able to withstand the use a commercial mower that runs 6 or more hours a day will see.

Interesting, I'd like to know what the price is......
I found them priced at $27,900 a couple places on the internet. Like I said, the price will have to come down before they make economic sense for the broad market, and they will, just like EV cars are and will continue to drop in price. Perhaps Biden will provide tax incentives to landscapers to purchase them. Gravely should lobby for that.

They're claiming it will cut 12 acres, run 6 hours, on a full charge. And batteries can be pulled out and replaced if that's not enough. Pretty slick. Technological advance is also continuously achieving better battery life too.

Fwiw there isn't enough lithium in the earth for everything to go battery. Cars in the us yet alone everything and everywhere else. Just saying. But to stay on thread topic... Neat. I use gravely.

Yah, I'm impressed. This is the best battery ztr I've seen yet. But I'm still far from sold. It'll have to drop to under 10k to compete with gas mowers. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Btw, you do much skiing this year? Did a bunch of local skiing and made it to peak n peak but didn't get to holiday valley......
