New here, need some advice. I’be got an older Husky 224L that I picked up from a neighbor cheap. Ran like a champ for two seasons running 93 ethanol free most of the time. Halfway through a route, wouldn’t crank. Figured carb was the issue. Went through and cleaned the carb which wasn’t built up at all, changed the oil, cleaned and checked gap of the plug (has a spark), and removed the carbon from the flame arrestor reassembled and I got nothing. I cleaned the carb a second time as a redundancy but still nothing. I know enough mechanically to get by but I’m at a loss at the next step? I did my best to store it upright as it’s a 4 stroke but on my trimmer racks, it would rotate 45-90 degrees while on the road.

Need to get to the basics. Fuel, air, spark. Air is probably a given. Confirm spark with plug out and crank over a bit.

Mostly likely fuel issue. Primer bulb cracked, vacuum line to engine cracked, fuel pickup in fuel tank crapped out? I have personally had 2 trimmers now that plugged the pickup filter inside the tank.

When you prime, look inside it to confirm you are getting fuel in the bulb. No fuel, no worky.....
