Hey guys

I'm about to buy a 2019 hustler Raptor sdx with 27 hours for $3500. Am I making a mistake?

I appreciate all feedback.
Is this the same mower that is now referred to as Raptor XDX? What size deck are you looking at and with which engine. You need to give more information about mower, previous owner, overall condition, etc. Who's selling, dealer or private sale?

It's a private sale. Someone off of Facebook Marketplace. It's got the Kawasaki fr691v Engine with Hydro Gear 3100. It's a 54 inch deck.

You didn't answer all my questions. Also, why is the previuos owner selling a mower with so few hours? Have you seen the mower personally? Is the SDX the same as the new XDX?

What are your plans, residential use only or commercial. If you can’t answer a few simple questions no one can try to give you any helpful advice.

I sold a 48" Raptor SD with zt2800's and 74 hours with the same engine you're looking at for 3K about 3 years ago. I know they've made some changes to their models so not sure how the build compares anymore. But seems comparable.

I used it for 2 summers, bought more property around our house and bought a bigger mower. Someone may have bought this and decided it was too big for their yard, or not big enough. Residential use doesn't put a lot of time on a mower and if he just had a half acre or so yard, that could easily be an entire summer of mowing in that short of time.

Thanks for the advice. I end up buying it. It looks to be in great shape. I found out after I bought it it still under warranty so I feel good about it

Looks like new. How much do you plan to cut?
Just my yard which is about an acre of grass. Probably a little bit Overkill but I was going to spend the same amount of money on a entry level Cub Cadet at Home Depot.

Yes I believe it is similar to the xdx. I ended up buying it. Looks like it's in great shape and it still under warranty. I think it should work for my 1 acre yard. It won't be used commercially
