yes. I have one client whose garden irrigation kind of sprays the turf, because we load it with a coated silica sand 1lb per square feet swept in (to protect backing and help blades stand up) I guess that gives the weeds a medium to grow.

Not a lot though, if you spend 5 minutes every 3 months they just pull out very easily and they are usually really tiny. Or can spray roundup.

The city has a lot of meridians between busy streets with trees planted and they opted for artificial turf. I igeuss they assumed nobody would ever have to maintain it, because artificial, but its like a weed field, looks really bad after a few years.

Theres a few that we have done that aren't getting any weeds, but just like concrete, if you get dirt building up in cracks, that gives weeds a place to grow eventually if the area gets light and water.
 
YES!! I see them growing in a dog walk area. I had to look twice to be sure.
