Was at the Home Depot yesterday and came across these dewalt mowers. Hhmmmm. Took a good look at them. From what I saw. Commercial grade mowers. If I were in the market for a new commercial mower, I’d give these a consideration. Anyone else see these mowers?

No dealer support though?? Wouldn't want to deal with HD for any issues on a fleet of $9500 machines.
Yeah makes no sense to buy one of these for commercial use when compared to a JD, Wright etc dealer. When I looked up one authorised dealer/service location on their site it came up with some hole in the wall that's not even in business anymore.

They may be able to leverage their battery tech in future years but right now total non starter imo.

Interesting.....hard pass for us. Likely a hard pass from any lawn companies. At this price point, choose a real brand and get an entry level commercial unit for the same price. Seems weird that so many companies want to be in the mower business.
Completely agree with this.

Yeah, companies want to be in the COMMERCIAL mower business. Everyone has realized that commercial mowers have much higher margins than residential mowers. The residential market has been driven into the ground so if a company isn't doing a ton of volume it isn't even worth continuing.

Owned by Stanley Black and Decker. This is the same company who bought about a 25% interest in MTD,(Cub). They have an option to buy the whole company eventually.
Yes, Stanly Black and Decker actually completed the sale and purchased the remaining 75% of MTD... so Stanley owns 100% of MTD (Cub).

Stanley also bought 100% of Excel industries (Hustler mowers) a couple of days ago.

They are really pushing to be a big player in the mower market... should be interesting to see how it works out.

yes I know this is an old thread. Here are my 2 cents on the Dewalt walk behind mowers.

I purchased a new 2022 (in May of 2022) Dewalt Dw33 walk behind the 33 inch cut and I did add a set of jungle wheels to it. It was an extra slash back up mower last year. We put 75 hours on. It was used to side discharge and mulch leaves. First the mower has done great. Only issue I had was do to jungle wheels being on it. Im 200# and on any unlevel ground I would loose traction on 1 tire. Now my helper being 150# can ride it almost any where to help me. This mower was bought to my small ztr going down. And since I like what I saw from using it I own walk behinds now.

At this time I am considering by the Dewalt HP48 48 inch cut walk behind and adding jungle wheels to it as my main mower. My Dewalt 33 will be on my second truck this year as primary mower and I have no doubt that the mower will make it this year full time. The route it will be on will be a single guy and 35-40 yards. 75% in garden home communities and other yards that are 1/4 acre. You just have to keep oil changed and air filter clean and keep sharp blades and don't forget to grease all points.

So yes Dewalt/MTD are players in my book. My local dealer sells Exmark, Billy Goat, and Cub Cadet commercial grade mowers the largest in my area and has no trouble fixing it if something happened to it. He can gets parts in within 2 days from MTD.

the stand ons actually arent too bad, well built, and look and feel like a vride a bit. but the lack of dealer support and the fact it was likely assembled by box store imbeciles is what kills it for me
