On a related note, we are going to set at least two bulk tanks (gasoline and diesel fuel) at the shop this year to eliminate filling stations. It’s far too difficult to get in and out of them with our rigs anyway. Also will eliminate a ton of paperwork, and we can buy bulk when the price drops.

Not just OSHA, but there's DOT Regs as well....
"Gasoline that is being transported to support the operation of a business whose primary function is not the transportation of gasoline would fall under the materials of trade exception, meaning that they are not required to use the DOT safety can. It is important to understand that the application of the materials of trade exception is highly nuanced. However, it does apply to many different businesses and industries."

Brucey I don't even read your posts, I just look at your picture. 🥰

I read a few gallons in a few minutes and got real curious, sorry for asking. Sounds like a normal hand pump for fuel transfer, which is still better than gas cans.

I carry the justrite cans myself and prefer them over the plastic jugs.

All my fuel in one year is put on the same fuel card. I just did the paperwork, it took me 3 minutes to pull up the annual report on the fuel card and see my fuel costs this year. I then uploaded that to my cpa portal and done. Didnt have to order fuel or keep a receipt or ask the fuel supply co for a receipt or figure out how full the tank is before ordering more. I cant afford a secretary so the easier it is for me the better.

I used to have a 500 gallon fuel tank at my shop it turned into too much of a chore to keep track of.

I got these spouts for my personal, at-home use, (non-commercial/non transport) gas cans...!
