Was looking on the internet on Honda mowers for sale. Ran across this fantastic, out of this world , ridiculous looowww price on a Honda commercial mower. So I checked out the address on Google earth and here’s the pic of the “ business location”, the over grown yard and house. Phone listed answers person has not set up voice mailbox yet. Company is Gardino. Of course we , well most of us , know this is to good to be true and has scam all over it. The website says 32 people are interested in this. And it’s shipped free !! 😂

Lots of people run a mow business out of there home, and when your slammed with work many lawn guys have some crappy looking places, so those are not immediate red flags.

If the price is to good to be true however I get suspicious

I’m sure the price is less than any authorized dealer pats for them. Then add free shipping for a 127 lb mower… phone number is suspicious and doesn’t return email.. scam!

You might be surprised. A Home Depot down the street from me had a small fire last year in their garden center. Even though it was small they had to get rid of everything in the store. I was talking to an employee after they opened and he said some guy came and bought tons of lawn and garden stuff at a hugely discounted price and was going to turn around and mark it back up sell it online out of a storage unit.

There’s a guy local to me who buys truck loads of returns and other unwanted merchandise. During the pandemic he ended up with a bunch of new in box toro snowblowers that the local dealer couldn’t get but everyone wanted. He sold them to the dealer for less than the dealer could purchase them for. Odd, but one man’s bad inventory is another’s gold!

In no way am I saying those mowers aren’t a scam! If it smells fishy, it probably is.
