Hi everyone, I’m trying to price this cleanup for a doctors office I service. The place will require all the weeds to be pulled out. The trees will also need to be pruned. The large bush on the wall will need to be trimmed back or removed. This job seems to be enormous and I can’t figure out what to charge. The customer tends to be on the cheap side and likely won’t do much outside of the bare minimum to make the place look tolerable. I’m in Canada so my prices are in CAD

That is at least a full day and a half, more than likely two full days of work for 2 guys. And my time estimate is based on HAND PULLING weeds. Me personally, I would be cutting all the weeds to ground level with a trimmer and then spraying with Round Up. That would cut the time down significantly. So with hand pulling and all the trimming of the "almost non existent shrubs" and the tree work, plus hauling off the waste, I would be at $5200. Keep in mind, this is based on pictures which often don't tell the whole story and leave a lot of hidden obstacles. I would be pricing myself high hoping not to get the work as I don't want it. I am so overwhelmed that I are almost 10 weeks out on work. My price is in US dollars and I'm sorry but I don't know the conversion. Good luck and don't sell yourself short. This looks like a miserable job. Very miserable.

I'd sell it as 2 different jobs to help keep cost down for the customer. Done right and the customer will be looking forward to your return and happily paying to get the place looking better. something like $2200 for round 1 and $1500 for round 2.

I was thinking $3000cad or 2200usd to pull the weeds, do a small pruning of the trees and trim the large bush, but now I’m not sure if that is enough.

I am pretty biased on this since I work for some doctors with multi-million dollar properties who like to haggle with my pricing when i know they aren't going to easily find someone cheaper to do the work.

It's not that bad of a job once you get into it. If they're paying the bare minimum you can do the bare minimum :D

Seriously though I second whoever mentioned trimming the weeds and spraying. You can buzz around through there quick with a line trimmer (or blade if necessary), it's a quick and dirty way to spruce up the place when they're trying to do it on the cheap. Plus you'll be able to do your pruning and shrub work easier being able to get around them and see better what needs to be done.

If it were me i give him a hourly Quote for me and my guys of course you're to make something off you're men so charge a little extra , if he's not willing to pay don't worry about and go to the next job .

If you were doing your normal schedule of work, how much would that cost you of being on It for 2 days? Shouldn’t be a penny less than that, I’d price it high and if they pay, great. If they look for a lowball then it’s not your problem.
