I never knew PlowSite was a whole other forum - I thought it was a separate section of Lawnsite.

I always thought it was dumb that nobody could talk about snow removal here. Now that I know it's not even within Lawnsite, I think it's dumber than dumb.

I mean, I don't really care because I have no interest in snow removal, but it's completely absurd to not allow guys to discuss the winter portion of their profession unless it involves grass.

That was one of MJD's pet posting peeves.
"A snow discussion on Lawnsite?!?"
"I'm closing this thread out immediately, so you can take it over to Plowsite!" ⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄

Im curious, around the country, how many of your schools close for “expected” snow? Im watching the weather and there are so many schools closing in anticipation of snow. This has backfired around here numerous times as we have gotten nothing. Obviously it was a long time ago but as a kid, I never remember this happening

School district I'm in rarely cancels school, they'll do late starts a few times a year if needed and maybe have a snow day once or twice a year.

In ct lots of dead and dying trees. So fallen limbs etc are a big issue after any storm even rain. Also we have lots of towns w hills & ppl tend to skip shoveling @ minor storms …but then the snow melts and overnight everything refreezes so causes a big mess.

I just want to apologize to all the snow people for my stupidity about a month or so ago. You see, i ponied up for a brand new snowblower. I needed one and didn’t want to buy used again, or get something that was subpar like my last ones. So I splurged on a platinum sho knowing full well we wouldn’t have a white Xmas by me doing so. Had I decided to wait and see if I really needed something that nice, several blizzards would have blown through by now, and everyone would have been out of stock. Muh bad fellers.
I bought a new snow blower in November. Same thing. I finally got to use it for the first time this weekend.

Went to remote learning today. As of 11:20am only a dusting outside. Anticipating 6-10in but was suppose to start around midnight.

That’s exactly when this “remote learning” crap started. That was never a thing pre plandemic. Of course I can think of many things that were not a thing, but I won’t go there.

It was at my kids HS long before COVID. With that said they go to a private school so Im not sure if public did it before.
