I gave a qoute to a rental property company whos property was about 8/10 of an acre. i priced it at $375 i got denied my equation for this was basically $45 x 8 there were massive leaves. I was gonna take $35 and pay a helper $10 per hour. Is this the most effiecient way to qoute or is there a rule of thumb that im missing. Also what do you use for Gutter Cleaning Jobs

For leaves pretty simple. Establish your rate and estimate time. If they don't like the price I may negotiate as I tend to bid high and come down some if I finish faster. I tell the customer this in advance also. People love it when you charge them less than your estimate. If you're up front with them they typically pay the full estimate in my experience. As far as gutters, I have a "roof fee" just for going up one story. If there's another story I charge another roof fee. If gutters are really bad I then charge an hourly rate but rarely have to. For example I got on a steep 2 story the other day. First story= 30 dollar roof fee. 2nd story had to use ladder from the roof so I charge another roof fee of 40.00. Gutters not too bad so total cost was 70 and took me 20 minutes with backpack blower. Customer thrilled with price. Just make sure you're getting paid enough to justify the risk of falling!

Like JZ we charge on gutter clean out $35.00 for first level. Then $45.00 for second and $65 to $75 for a third. (depending on the hazard)

Leaf clean up is more tricky and depends on customers. That also determines what is charged. Figure out what you need per man hour. Estimate the hours. In the event that you haul debris charge a dump fee and mileage. We do it per man hour example: 3 guys at $30 per hour would be $90.00 per hour. This is a example however, depending on your over head you should be around that for a small operation I would think depending on your location.

Hope that this helps.

Thanks...the metric system is confusing enough.

Rhinos are much easier to use for measurements.
Plus you can use Rhinos as a basis for weight, length, volume, speed, you name it. Take that kilometer/liter/hectacentidecilometer!

"Hi, can you tell me how big this house is?"

"Sure thing, it could house 5 Rhinos easily"
