Lighting for Neighborhood Sign - Durable Solar Options

Our HOA is in process of looking for a permanent-ish light solution for the primary sign at the entrance of the neighborhood. Their initial suggestion after going through enough $15 lights was to jump right into the deep end and have lights hardwired which is already looking like it will be in the thousands to do (not in the budget). Rather than basing the opinion that solar lights don't hold up off $15 lights I figured i'd ask what high dollar solar options are out there which do in fact hold up? Only need two, one for each side of the sign. Thanks for the help!

Maybe a 2 12 volt LED flood hardwired to a battery and solar panel would be a good intermediate option. The lights would probably need to be around 20 watts each and it wouldn't be to hard to build a system that could easily run for 8 to 10 hours a night.

I think it would be something you'd have to make. I have seen kits like it years back but it was sold on the Home Shopping Network and low quality home owner stuff. I still think it could be a viable option here with a little tinkering and to start I'd use on of my 12 volt deepcylcle trolling motor batt to fire it up.
