If you get it just buy a new hour meter so you can track the hours.

Looks like it has hydrogear zt3100 hydros so it's a little beefier than the box store offerings. I don't know enough about them either, but looks like a pretty good option for you.

Yea that’s my plan, he had an hour meter but he bought wrong one. I plan on that and probably get it checked out. That’s only probably buying from a private seller, I doubt he’d allow me to take it and bring to shop lol

those kohlers have great throttle response. better design in terms of servicability than the commands imo. you dont have to pull the dipstick tube and everything else to change the coils or anything under the shroud people do switch hour meters. i have seen mowers with clearly like 2k on them with 100 hours, and a new meter. when i change engines, ill add a 2nd meter. see actual machine hours, and engine hours for service.

Yea and I’m not too familiar to be able to tell how many hours I think it has. Shroud people? He kind of looked a little shady too if that makes sense lol

Yea I was having a hard time buying it too to be honest but I kind of wanted to/still do lol. Even talked to a dealer he said sometimes guys do that to keep hours low but it didn’t like like it was used a bunch for commercial or a ton of accounts I don’t mind if it did but yea 15 hours is tough to believe especially when he got it serviced and still under warranty at the time why not get that price fixed.

Get the S/N and call the factory to find out what year model it is. THat might help to determine if the hours are realistic.
Yea I asked for serial number a few times he said he would send but never did then when I was asking different questions trying to make sure things were correct he made a comment about me thinking it’s stolen.

That’s a red flag. I’ve had deputies run the s/n on used mowers I’ve bought in past to make sure it’s not in the GCIC (Georgia database)

Yea I get it, it could be but I don’t think it’s stolen. I could be totally wrong though. If it was a kid I’d be more accepting of it being stolen. Not saying a grown man doesn’t sell stolen stuff lol

Just ask for a sales receipt from when it was purchased. No way would I pay $5K+ for something and not keep the receipt.
