I have bought things on e-bay. Cordless drill and impact, other small stuff. Never had any problems, but never bought anything like a mower though. My dad has sold a couple cars and everything went well.

I love ebay! i bought face plates, skis, games, gator blades and a tons more Never had any problems

Man do I love Ebay or what, to me its better than a Walmart, I have bought a lot on that website actually just received a brand new in the box Echo PB 261L back pack blower that I paid $186 on Ebay, 100 bucks savings or so, the best thing to do is look at their feedback, a lot of these guys have sold hundreds of products and have 100% good feedback, just do your research like with anything but you can save a lot of money....

I love e-bay. My recent purchases include a truck, mower blades, redmax blower, and this week a bluebird aerator.
Plently of good deals to be found.

I've used ebay for many personal and business purchases. Backpack blower, trimmer racks, trailers, tools, and just a year ago an Exmark 48" TTHP with 52 hours (about $1500 less than what the guy had paid only 4 months before from the dealer, plus I get the warrenty), even a Magna Matic 8000 with stand. I've had one scam (set of wrenches) in maybe 400 auctions. It is like a huge garage sale. Deal with established people, stay away from overseas venders offering deals too good to be true on big dollar items, check the feedback, and know what the correct price should be. There are big bucks to be saved if you are cautious.

I'm glad you guys have had good luck. My luck has been nothing short of awful. Every single time I order a mint condition eXmark z for 2grand under it's true value, they seem to get lost in the mail. I've ordered 3 from Italy and 5 from the Ukraine, spent $2,500 a pop, including shipping, and nary a one has been received. :dizzy:

Guess I'll keep trying...

i have gotten a bunch of stuff from ebay. i got a new echo pb 46ht new for 250.00. i got a stihl bp used for 100.00, a used echo 260 (sold not running) pulled off the air filter and it was perfect-25.00. other assorted items, no scams yet. i swear by it, and like somone else said, i think its better than walmart!

I was considering bidding on an Exmark Lazer Z in Italy yesterday. When I emailed the guy he gave me his line of b.s. It was a great deal. Anyway, I emailed him about payment and he sent me a thing from Ebay saying the transaction was guaranteed if I used Western Union to transfer the money. I looked on Ebay and it said to never use Western Union. I looked at the details of the email and it had come from a different address, but showed as being from ebay.com in my opening screen. I reported the c*cks*cker to ebay and they verified it was a fraudulent email. These scam artists are very talented, I'm just glad I didn't lose any money!!

I picked up the Bobcat ZT-219 I purchased off ebay on Tuesday. Had 15 hours on it. Saved me about $1600.00 off a new one plus the $800.00 extended warranty. The guy had bought extended 3 year warranty on top of manf. warranty (has 16 mths left on it). It cost me $5.00 to transfer both warranties to myself. Geez I love E-Bay. Gonna stick my John Deere walkbehind on there tonight.

I am not a big fan of Ebay. You can usually find whatever you are looking for but the prices always seem to end up in a bidding war. Ebay is great for finding what you need but Ebay is really geared toward helping the seller.

I have used ebay for alot of personal stuff. Right now I'm waiting on a pair of Chippewa boots. 30% less than the store. Make sure they have close to 100% feedback.

I buy on eBay all the time. Most items have been relatively small like my dewalt drill (saved $50 over home depot price), velke and proslide. But, last Christmas I bought a car for my wife. A Chrysler Sebring Convertible. I had to drive 3 hours to pick it up but I saved a ton of money on it and she loves it!

I also bought my Scag Turf Tiger on eBay just last month. I was not the high bidder but, I was contacted by the seller when the high bidder did not pay and I took it. Very happy with it so far.

I have purchased a few things off ebay. No problems so and have been very satisfied with the products I have recieved. I think you just have to exercise a bit of caution and common sense when bidding and ordering. Like it has been said, check feedback on the seller. Good luck.
