• LawnSite Homepage Upgrade

    Hello again LawnSite community,

I wanted to post a quick note to let you know that the homepage of LawnSite will experience a major upgrade later this week. We’re always looking for ways to improve our users’ experience on the site, and felt that this upgrade was needed and long overdue..

With this upgrade, you’ll now see the top trending posts as soon as you visit LawnSite, and these will be updated throughout the day. You can also easily access videos and photos. As always, we encourage you to include videos and photos in your own posts to share with your fellow LawnSite users.

Be assured that all of the forums, content and data that you’ve been accustomed to will remain intact, as will all current site features. You’ll also be able to easily access the full list of forums directly from our new homepage.

We’re excited to bring you this change, and look forward to hearing your feedback.

    Thanks, LawnSite Team

  4. Las Vegas pushes to become first to ban ornamental grass

I love the "desert scape" look. It just doesn't work here. :( It would be awesome not having to mess with my own yard after mowing all week.

  6. How do I get to $1/minute?

I get $4min. for a commercial yard that takes maybe 5 min. to mow, trim, blow. Two small grass areas 1 swipe with the 60. I'm a sucker and will get my mower off the trailer for any price as long as it makes money.

  11. Hiring Mexican Workers

Have you ever tried going to the local bar/"hangout"? Not saying hiring a barfly is a good idea, but I know loads of hard working reliable people that drink just as hard as they do work, and get up the next day to do it again. It also gives you a chance to get to know the person. I can't count...
  12. Hiring Mexican Workers

Drive to the southern border and pick up a truckload. I'm sure there will be more than enough for everyone soon.

Beer and boots . I love the smell of new shoes/boots..... Wore them around the house for a few and they are keepers. I was worried they would fit like Merrell (thin) These have plenty of room for my wide feet. Impressed so far. I almost hate to start mowing in them.;) BTW, They...
  16. Toro Reel Master 6700D

You should look at a commercial wide area mower if your mowing that much and want to cut the time down.... Or a second Z if you have someone to run it.;)

  18. John Deere 636m Just purchased general discussion

That's what I'm saying. and it didn't look like that ^ when you were done. A foot of grass cut down to 2.75 inches does not look like that after one pass without bagging. Maybe not even with bagging. I understand the whole "fish story" thing and that's why I dropped it.
  19. John Deere 636m Just purchased general discussion

Of course it can......With the deck all the way up and more than one pass.
