1st Time Posting Stripes

    This is my first time posting pics here. These are some pictures of my backyard. I couldn't get the right angle to show the full checker board effect. Oh well here they are anyways.
    I used a 36" Snapper w/ Proslide.

    when do you the checker board effect, do you keep your deck going when going in the second direction? and do you keep your deck at the same hieght? thanks

    I have a fixed deck so I hardly ever change the height. I have the mower set to 3 inches. Basically all you have to do is completely cut the yard in one direction then complete cut the yard again in the other direction. Every week just keep cutting the same lines and the more you go over it the more defined it becomes. This was the first time I had cut in the other direction so it isn't as good as it could be. Also if this was a customer's yard and you didn't want to waste time double cutting it you could just alternate cuts. Cut one direction one week then the following week cut it in the other direction. I only cut lawns in the evenings and I don't have many yards yet so I have time to double cut my own lawn.
