I Am gonna say 5 - 10 calls per thousand. Now the question is how many jobs will you get?

20,000 in livonia with all the layoffs and the economy and every tom dick and harry with a 21 push moer cutting grass for 15 bucks cause they are laid off the assembly line? and seeing as 30 other people put out flyers and doorhangers? figure youll get maybe 2% interested if your lucky thats 400 but then they have to divide that by the 30 other doorhangers and flyers maybe 200-400 calls but they will be getting quotes from 10 other people also so maybe10 -40 accts

this would take me 2 years to distribute.

I was always under the impression you get 1 call per 100 flyers??? At leasts that's what I have found in my past experience. Though, this year I put out 350 so far, and got 12 calls. So who knows....

Let's see....you'll spend $5K getting them distributed at least, bring in 200 calls, you'll acutally get 20 of those and you'll be in the whole the first two months paying off the advertising...

seriously...20K? I would never, ever, ever think of distributing that many. I hope you are set up properly to route the estimates.

I think he may not know what "k" stands for. Or maybe he added an extra zero between the 2 and the k. If not, sounds pretty dumb to me. Probably be in the hole paying off just the distribution and not be able to handle what comes in anyway. But let us know how it works.

Here in my neck of the woods we have a service called door to door..

They take 5000 per distribution flyers from you and they put them in a plastic bag with 8-10 other flyers and hang them on door knobs with a given delivery schedule.

They break up the surrounding areas into distribution areas of 500 each and charge $200 per area. I bought the next 4 areas closest to my home.

I paid $1200 for 20000 full color flyers, plus $800 for the distribution. I am guaranteed no competitors in the same distribution, and I live in the fastest growing county in Illinois.

My average annual contract so far is $800 for the season. If I get .5% response I will be living very nice and very busy.

I will let you all know how it turns out..

The first 10000 go out by 5/15 the latest weather permiting.

This should grab all of those people that waited till the last minute for lawn care service. (90% of home owners)

They guarantee THEY won't distribute a competitors doorhangers...
but it's open game for Lil' Billy to pass out his lawn flyers in that area... correct?
