If the price is right there are a lot of miles left in that truck. I'm at 280,000+ on my '99 F350 and it hasn't had an easy life. I had nothing more than expected normal wear and tear items go out before 220k. Water and PS pumps, ball joints, etc. Now its all the little pita o-rings, seals, and stuff. I don't know what the trans is in the one that you're looking at but the 4R100 is a wimpy trans unless its built right. My wife has one in her F150 and they put it behind a diesel?...C'mon.

There has been a recall on the CPS, so I would make sure that it had been replaced and keep a spare in the glove. If one goes it will leave you dead in the water. Check for any oil seepage at the ICP. Its at the front of the driver's side valve cover and has one little plug connected to the top of it. If any seepage is there replace it with one from Ford. Don't waste your time with any alternatives (especially the guys on ebay selling ICP's with an adapter) and don't wait until it goes out. Signs include hard starting and loss of throttle response and power. It CAN be unplugged for a limp mode home. If in doubt...unplug it. If its going out and you try to start it while its connected, it'll kill your battery before it starts. While you're in the valve cover area check the major wiring harness/ loom that goes over it. Chaffing of the wires here can lead to a burnout of the wiring and connections inside the valve covers. After a very long day that's all I can think of for now.

He is KELLC or something like that on this site. I know that he does take care of his equipment and bought this truck as his main rig pulling his trailers. As said already, the oil pan has been replaced so you should be good to go. Those 7.3's are animals!
