Does Super Z have the characteristic of distinctive constant drive motor whining noise, or does this sound like a developing problem with the drive system? Not being familiar with the Hustler product, I need to know if this noise is consistent in forward or reverse.

Due to the use of the 21cc pumps we use, the hydraulic noise you here, is a bit louder than any other unit that uses a 10cc pump, but with that being said, I dont believe it to be a problem.
Drive the unit, get it warmed up and feel the unit out, you will be fine.

Strange, but the drive system on my Lazer makes way way more noise than my Super Z  The Super is relatively quiet :)

Most manufacturers recommend doing your break-in maintenance at around 50 hours. You may want your dealer to drain the system and change the filter if it has not already been done.
