2004 metro HP striper

After one month being on backorder the striper for our newly purchased 2004 48" metro HP arrived. The following day we had the wheels off and were ready to start to drill holes into the deck for the brackets. The phone rang and our dealer called to say that not to install the striper, it won't work. We took it back to the dealer and there is a bulletin saying the pulley will interfere with the bracket. How did this happen? Wasn't this model field tested with the striper? Is there going to be a fix? Our dealer hasn't heard anything from exmark yet.

LDAVIS108,

Your dealer is correct. The striping roller will not fit the Metro HP.

The original fit up was done on the TTHP, we then took the first production models and fit them up on the TTHP and Metro HP. That's when we found the issue and began notifying our dealers. The roller will interfere with the drive wheel pulley at certain cutting heights.

I'm not sure what the status of the Metro HP roller is but I'll get back with you later in the week when I'm back in the office.

Thanks,

Terry
