    70,300 miles, regular cab (small, i know), 4x4, clean, 6.0L V8, $13,600...

I am new in the biz… doing maintenance now, would like to get into landscape eventually… How does the truck sound? Any input is appreciated.

I have the same truck and I love it. That seems like a pretty good deal. Is it 4x4?

good find! if you really want it, go ahead. my friend got a 2004? 2500HD reg.cab with 6.0 and 4spd with 21000 mi. for $21000. still under warranty. shop around too just in case unless you've made up your mind already.

just fyi, my grandfather's horseshoer had/has a 2002 chevy 2500 extended cab with the v8 and pulling probably a 14 foot enclosed trailer got like 7 miles per gallon. now he has a late 80s dodge cummings and gets 19mpg pulling it. i was eating with my dad yesterday in town and his wife and kids pulled up in the truck and got down. it had a for sale sign on it. haha

I've got a similar truck, a 2005 2WD. For a small maintenance/landscape business it's PERFECT! Powerful, comfortable and super easy to drive and maneuver. A diesel will pull a little harder, but mine runs up a 6% grade loaded to 14,000 combined weight at 60 with pedal to spare. A diesel will also get better mileage, but you're not going to find an '04 diesel in any condition for under $20K. When I bought my truck diesel cost $10K more, and that will buy a LOT of gas.
