What is your outlook at a whole for 2006? Not just you, but the entire economy?
I would say that because we are in the service industry and most of are services are paid for with disposable income, that my income and the economy in general are closely tied together. First off, competition for services in my area is fierce and highly specialized. For example, if you want a paver driveway you call a paver contractor and not necessarily a landscape contractor. I would predict that, unless interest rates drop, there will be a scant amount of extra spending beyond home and family expenses. Mortgage, college, etc. My sales were down last year and I expect it to be the same this year, maybe improving a little. I basically offer maintenance services with minor land and hard 'scaping.
