Out working getting the Hustler ready for spring and was looking at the Hydraulic tank and noticed the fluid was black. I only have 35 hours on it.

Is this normal? I’m use to seeing Hydro systems clear and clean on something with low hours.

I’m going to order the filters and replace the fluid with synthetic 20/50. Is there a MFG recommended brand?

Normal, you have to realize that the tank is just a vent system really, very little fluid in that part of the system.
As to oil brand, stick with a good name brand, Mobil 1 is always nice.

I just got a 2010 model FasTrak SD. Does the hydro filters and oil need to be changed after a certain break in period? If so, is there a manual showing how to properly perform this? Thanks for your help.

Initial system oil and filter change must be after the first 75 hours of use or 1 year whichever comes first.
Thereafter, replace filter and oil in each trans-axle every 2 years or 200 hours, whichever comes first.
