    so what made people believe the mayans? if they were so smart they would still be alive and around today. instead they are extinct.

    The Mayans didn't even believe in that. It was primarily all hyped up by Hollywood, drive by media, morons, etc.

    yeah i know. that's why i don't trust history. all these scientists and such don't know anything. they just guess. the only way to know the truth is to have lived in that time personally.

    Yeah right, that's why most devote their lives to studying/researching w/e subject it may be and most hold PhD's in what they do. People that hold PhD's aren't stupid (at least in the realm of the degree they hold), someone who may have a PhD in Ancient African History will most likely know just about everything, but may not know a thing about Accounting.

    The ones that are really tough to deal with are the ones that think because thay know a lot about something, that they know something about everything. The educated fool.
