1998 kohler 25 hp twin. How much oil @ 2 quarts??? It is on a hydroseeder and tilted some, Hard to tell. No manual.

I always just fill the engine till the oil comes up to the top of the filler tube.

Ya they say to fill it to the mark on the dip stick..........not me, I keep fillin and fillin till the oil comes to the top of the tube.

I do that in my truck too. I keep fillin and fillin till the oil comes up to the cap on the valve cover.

Sure it takes a lot more oil, and ya, the engine may not run any good. But im from the school you can never put to much oil in an engine.

If it uses the full size Kohler filter, a PL10241 will work.

I guess the question then is...will the larger filter fit on the machine? Most can use either one.
