Hey guys this is one of my first posts on here. I have a job that needs about 375 linear feet of 3-5" river rock as a border which then 1-3" RR will be on the inside of that border to help drain water. Can anyone tell me how many tons of 3-5" RR I will need to do the border?

    Thanks in advance

I'm just creating a border. One rock wide. I'll be setting the rocks on dirt.

River Rock weighs roughly 2,800 LBS. per cubic yard - 1.4 tons per yard

    Cubic Yard Coverage

1 Cubic Yard Covers 324 square feet 1" deep
1 Cubic Yard Covers 162 square feet 2" deep
1 Cubic Yard Covers 108 square feet 3" deep
1 Cubic Yard Covers 81 square feet 4" deep
1 Cubic Yard Covers 54 square feet 5" deep

Im coming up with roughly 2-2.3 tons. Maybe some one else will chime in with something different

2 scoops. and that might even be to much. 1 rock at at a time will go a long way.
