How old is it? That pic you loaded is from way before 3 years ago. My Ferris SD is a 2005 model and it looks nothing like that.

 

is that the dual hydro or single?

 

Single hydro with a sulky, does that work? You must have the old model that has separate brakes on.

How many hours?

 

right its a single with the disc brakes.its a beast not one of those new little goofy things they have out.the sulky works fine unless you are 230 pound guy going up a steep hill than the front will come up on you.

 

I had the one that you're currently trying to sell. I also have one of those "goofy little things". It cuts grass better than my old one did. It just needed brakes is all. No biggie.

 

yes thats a pic of one of those goofy things...*trucewhiteflag*thats not as heavy a mower as what i posted as a matter of fact the salesman told me they refuse to sell those mowers with a sulkey he said its to dangerous for whatever reason.

 

The reason they didn't want to attach a sulky was because there was no way to stear them. I found that out real quick. That's also why I worked with a machine shop and put brakes on each side. Like I said I also had the version that you have. I'm familiar with the disk brake on each side.

In any case, if you tell us what year your mower is I'll try to tell you what I think it's worth.

 

well ibought it 2006 it was sittin in the back of scotts power equipment .basically a discontinued mower they put in the back in lieu of the newer models in the front.i thought it was a 2005.

 

If it has a Kawasaki engine look at the date of manufacture. It's on a sticker stuck to the engine. If it's a Kohler then I can't help you with the year. Let's just say for sheets and giggles that it's a 2004. To you it's probably worth around $2,000. To a buyer I'd say around $1,300 to $1,500.

 

I have that mower. Mine is a 2004 with the Kawi. I paid $650 for it 2 years ago with about 150 hours on it. I did not get a sulky with it but I did get the steal bagger. For $650 it has been a great mower!

 

That is the exact ferris I have, not sure of the year. I'm actually in need of a bag for the unit, i saw one on the net before now I can't even find the place.

Now that it has an independant brake on each rear wheel it works fine.
