going to give gator g5 blades a shot today
In my opinion the 52" decks used are improperly designed. So far it appears after so many hours (around 60) the spindles tweak the deck without hitting anything. My guess is the decks simply are not strong enough, and if you cut tall grass they will bend.
I have had nothing but trouble with my 52" 19HP RH, total junk IMHO.
still no word from a rep
A rep from Keen finally called me, essentially blew me off and told me to take them back to the dealer. In the same sentence he told me that, and also that my warranty was now voided due to having removed a section of the removeable baffle. Acted like he'd never heard of a single problem with these mowers, and also told me to slow down. I've tried everything i can think of, and everything you've suggested and it still is sub-par cut quality. I'm not very pleased with the rep's attitude towards me, but he did forward my info to a dealer near me and I have some demo's lined up on other machines. If my deaer i bought from cant fix the issues i'll be selling and getting away from wright.
I hear you. I want to love the Wright's and the stand on mower design works for me and my setup but the cut quality is not very good. My 36" fixed deck does cuts better then the 52" rapid height but it's still not a top quality cut. Also I have a no dealer support. The dealers that are listed near me hardly sell them, carry no parts and therefor don't know of any of the problems that they have. I'm thinking of moving to the Toro Grandstands if I can find a nice used 2010 or 2011 or maybe new. Gravely and Scag are also going to get a look. I'll start with looking for a 52", maybe 48.
I have tons of dealers near me, but the rep instructed me to take it to where i purchased, but then forwarded the info to a different dealer! he basically was an @ss and didn't want to help out at all, all he thought was i was mowing too fast. wouldn't hardly listen to anything i've tried. i'm irritated with this whole situation,
My mower is currently at the shop, yet another rep called me back and was much more helpful. Finally had a chance to drop mower off yesterday and the tech agreed that it isn't leaving a very clean cut. Hopefully they will get it figured out, they gave me a vantage as a loaner and while it cuts excellent I can't stand the thing. You guys have definitely got the best platform and controls of any stander out there I just hope this cut quality issue can get worked out
